Explore & Discover

Once in awhile, you find a place with charm,
                               beauty, spirit & excitement.....
A place with a colorful past and
a vision for the future.  That's St George!

Snow Canyon Overlook off Hiway 18, St George, UT

St. George/Washington County is situated in the southwest corner of Utah, just
six miles from the Arizona State line on Interstate I-15.  St. George, the county
seat, is the largest city in southern Utah.  The area's population is now about
140,000 and growth is projected to continue.  With this said no one expects
to see any significant slowdown of population growth or demand for commercial
or residential building in all of southern Utah.  "Washington County"
 has been discovered."

The city is nestled in a picturesque valley surrounded by impressive red,
sandstone cliffs.  Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon are only a few hours away.
Brian Head provides great skiing in the wintertime and a mountain retreat in the
summertime along with Pine Valley Mountain which is 10,000 feet high. This is
the gateway to amazing recreational areas.

Washington County is endowed with mild, low humidity winters with over
300 sunny days per year.  The desert climate promotes year round recreation
and leisure activities. St George is know as the  "Year 'Round Golf Capital of
Utah" and offers 13 great, scenic golf courses at present.  See Golfing..

Whether you are looking for a place to retire or for a place to start a new career and raise
your family, you need to explore your options in the St. George area.

There are four high schools in St George - Snow Canyon, Pine View, Dixie and Desert Hills.
And Dixie State College, a four-year university.

Utah's Dixie has been recognized as an excellent retirement spot in many recent
publications, and Washington County is one of the fastest growing counties in Utah
and the nation.  We have recently been named as No. 1 for growth, lowest
un-employment, best place to do business for women and the safest community
in the nation.   This is just to name a few.  This year we are experiencing a downturn
similar to most communities in late 2008, but we know we will resume our growth in time.

Take a look in most money and financial magazines and you will find that
St. George is listed and has been listed in the past several years.  Some of
 its accolades have been:
 *Fastest Growing City in America
*Best Small City for Doing Business
*Best Small City for Women entrepreneurs.
 *Best City for job growth
*One of the best cities in which to retire.

That is a list of advantages that is hard to beat.  St. George also has an
ideal business environment for both small business and large companies
with a lot of potential and favorable projected growth for economic
 development.

There are few areas with more beautiful and colorful scenery.  There is
ample room to expand and still keep the open spaces and scenic vistas.
This is a city that is going to continue to grow and expand.   Now is the
perfect time to This is a city that is definitely going somewhere so now
is the perfect time to get in on our growth at a time when our homes
 are are very reasonably priced.

Picture clear, blue, sunny skies, add a few white fluffy clouds, red rock mountains,
green golf courses, picturesque walking trails, thriving businesses, great shopping
and you've got a picture of living and working in the St George area.  Join us
"where the summer sun spends the winter!"
